saying how he had one of the best days of his life. He’d given up tickets to watch the match at Cardiff so he could be with special friends and hadn’t been disappointed in his choice.

We went for breakfast and then said our goodbyes wishing each other a safe trip home and good health for the coming twelve months.

We travelled home for half of the journey the same way as we arrived at twice the speed of sound with a band called the Artic Monkeys blasting out of the car stereo. We did have a pit stop and driver change and travel at a more relaxing speed and radio 2 playing, Steve Terry did have one problem he couldn’t find reverse in the Galaxy, god knows how he gets on driving that big truck every day.

On the way home we stopped in at a hotel in Stafford which I have in mind for next years reunion to get our Midland Alliance seal of approval and will now meet with the manager when she gets back off holiday next week and try set up a good deal.

By the time we arrived back at my house we had all recovered sufficiently to see the day out. A mug of tea and a packet of Bourbons later I bid farewell, and the Stevens left for home. For me after a rest on the sofa I had to put pen to paper to script the PXR.
