PXR 2012 The Reading and Arborfield Tour 4th—6th May

Our Mess Dinner was something to behold – the mess manager and her staff really did us proud.  A lovely room, beautiful table, very attentive silver service and an excellent meal ---

we could ask for no more and it was very well received and enjoyed by all members attending.

Dave Wood proposed toasts to The Queen and 211 Old Comrades.

John Hughes proposed the toast to absent friends, listing the names of all non- attendees, deceased and living.

Our Annual Mess Meeting followed, then it was back into the mess bar, where it proved very difficult to spend any significant money ---- I love mess bar prices !!!!

Sunday morning came all too quickly, given the effort and planning that went into the weekend, but following and relaxed breakfast, it was again time for fond farewells, as members began their return journeys to the different corners of the UK.

We weekend had clearly been an undoubted success and a very appropriate way to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the 211 Old Comrades Club.
